• Needs to have real-world experience working as a Scrum Master vs just a PM
• May be responsible for serving as the Scrum Master for 1 to 2 internal teams
• Role is geared more toward coaching, mentoring, and facilitating vs a directive role
• Prefer previous O&G experience highly beneficial but not absolutely necessary

  • Prefer someone degreed. No degree is okay IF they are currently in school and within 1 year of completion.

Description:

  • Responsible for helping the team to execute the Agile/SW Methodology processes. Schedules iterations, coaches and drives continuous improvement within the team, and addresses team process related issues
  • Monitors and communicates project statistics including release burn-up chart, iteration burn-down chart, velocity, capacity/utilization etc.
  • Removes blockers or escalates to those who can
  • Protects the team from outside disruptions, over-commitment, and complacency
  • Manages and drives core SCRUM meetings (release planning, story sizing and clarification, iteration/demo planning, team retrospectives, and daily stand-ups)
  • Conducts and participates in daily, weekly, and bi-weekly iteration planning meetings to ensure resource performance and prevent resource overloading
  • Work with Development Lead and Test Lead to keep up the Iteration Metrics
  • Ensure Task Activities for team resources are aligned to Time-Reporting System
  • Facilitates discussion between the Product Owner (s) and Scrum Team to understand requirements and technical implications associated to scope of work within the iteration and overall release.
  • Approves/Disapproves project time entry
  • Minimum Skills typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in engineering or other related technical field with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in oil field related experience, of which 4 to 7 years is in project management.
  • Must be certified Scrum Master or PMI Agile Certified PM
