Position Description

Aero PM is the only department-wide cross functional system that tracks Airport project information through five year program modules from concept design, change request to design plan completion. MDOT is planning to make continuous improvements to the system over the course of next year that includes creating new screens for processing and also to enhance the reporting capabilities. A technical resource is required to assist the Administrative section of the Department of technology, Management and Budget (DTMB), and Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) to maintain the new program management unit Aero PM application. The resource will work on implementing new business requirements, bug fixes and maintenance work for Aero PM systems using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Java platform

Skills Required

One (1) Application/Software Engineer Senior: Application/Software Engineer capabilities with 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of complicated tasks, may lead and direct the work of others, may report directly to a project lead or manager, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The Resource needs good working experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate/ JPA , Flex/Jquery based application framework to maintain the business application. The resource should also have the database handling experience, using JDBC, transaction handling and making appropriate call as needed by the business process.

Experience Required

•Documented 4 years (in experiential section of resume, not “summary area” experience programming in the JBOSS Enterprise SOA environment including JBOSS Workflow and Drools Business Rules engine.

•Documented 8 years (in experiential section of resume, not “summary area”) experience developing complex computer systems using Java.

•Documented 8 years (in experiential section of resume, not “summary area”) experience developing complex computer systems using java IDEs such as Eclipse.

•Documented 7 years (in experiential section of resume, not “summary area”) experience programming in SQL and/or PL/SQL.

•Documented 7 years (in experiential section of resume, not “summary area”) programming in Spring Framework 3.0.

•Documented 7 years (in experiential section of resume, not “summary area”) programming in projects using Hibernate/JPA framework.

•Documented 4 years (in experiential section of resume, not “summary area”) programming in projects using Adobe Flex(Action Script) framework.

•Documented 5 years (in experiential section of resume, not “summary area”) participating as a programmer/analyst in projects using CMM/CMMI Level 3 methods and practices.
