Java experience is good but not necessary.

Our client is continuing to invest in and implement new Hadoop projects involving Supply Chain and syndicated data.  Current environment is 3 Hadoop clusters, SAP ECC/DW, and SAP BO.  Due to the increased project workload, we are seeking a Hadoop Developer to support the client for 6 months initially, with a possibility of extension based on project requirements.

Consultant must have good background in BI/DW and be proficient with Pig and Hive scripts supporting data processing and building report views.  Must have hands-on Hadoop experience, either in professional environment or on an academic/research project.   UNIX scripting experience is beneficial for writing utilities as needed, but not required.  Java development is beneficial, but not required as project does not require MapReduce development.
