• Design and implement automatic deployment of OpenStack-based cloud applications.
• Maintain, support, and troubleshoot OpenStack deployments.
• Implement self-healing procedures for OpenStack cloud applications.
• Collaborate with the development and operations teams to understand both the product and infrastructure components.
• Must keep current on new technologies and make recommendations on future direction as well as apply latest techniques and industry information as appropriate.
• Provide coaching and direction for more junior DevOps engineers.

Technical/Professional Qualifications/Skills:

• Working experience with OpenStack: deployment, configuration, operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Expert level with installation/configuration automation and scripting (sh, python, etc.)
• Experience with various configuration management systems (Chef, Puppet, Ansible)
• Experience scaling a cloud-based infrastructure.
• Familiar with network administration.
• Familiar with database administration.
• Familiar with core infrastructure components (DNS, LDAP, etc.)
• Comfortable working with various monitoring systems (Icinga, Ganglia, etc.)
• Experience working in Agile or Iterative development processes desired.
• Experience with Rational Unified Process and Scrum desired.

Required Education and Experience:

• BS in Mathematics/Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline.
• 4+ years working in a Linux environment.
• 3+ years of experience with 3-tier Java/Oracle applications.
• 3+ years of experience in Operations/DevOps.
• 2+ years of experience with VMWare, experience with AWS and Azure or other IaaS a plus.
• 2+ years of experience with OpenStack.
