Business analysis and system configuration for our Cerner Community Behavioral Health (formerly Anasazi) EHR to comply with changes to DSM5 and ICD10.  Period of performance, hours/week, and potential for remote work all TBD.

 

Staff augmentation support: Cerner-Anasazi analyst

Need

Arlington County Department of Human Services (DHS) has identified a need for additional technology support for electronic health record (EHR) used for recording all service provision for clients of the Community Services Board (CSB) and submission of data to the VA Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS.)  DHS uses the Community Behavioral Health product from Cerner, and there will be significant efforts in support of the product in the upcoming year – in particular for ICD10 and DSM5 conversion.

The desired staff will have experience with EHRs, ideally with Behavioral Healthcare systems and specifically with Cerner Community Behavioral Health. Experience with EHRs of other types and/or experience with community behavioral health and/or developmental services organizations in a technology support role may or may not suffice.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1.         Experience in the configuration, operation, and analytical support of an electronic health record system.

a.         Experience with Cerner Behavioral Health (formerly Anasazi) preferred.

b.         Includes ability to configure the system by updating pages, assessments or other configurable components.

c.          Includes the ability to review the system configuration (e.g., tables, existing configurations) to ensure all relevant components of a change are addressed.

d.         Experience evaluating and testing their own work and the work of a broader team to ensure successful change management.

2.         Analytical and operational experience in a community behavioral health and/or developmental service organization or practice.

a.         Understanding of the terminology, practices, conventions, and safeguards.

b.         Knowledge of ICD-9/-10 and DSM-4/-5, SNOMED desired.

c.          Familiarity with payer billing practices, protocols, and formats.

d.         Familiarity with federal requirements and programs to include HIPAA and Meaningful Use

3.         The ability to operate independently and as part of a team

a.         Must be able to problem solve, including while learning the DHS configuration.

b.         Must be able to recognize own limits and collaborate with DHS staff.

c.          Must be able to coordinate tasking with DHS staff, in particular under the direction of the DHS Electronic Health Records Manager.
