Responsibilities:
- Write functional test plans to cover our monetization and advertising technology stack.
- Design test cases as well as execute tests.
- Report testing status to cross-functional team leads.
- Raise issues, report risks, and work with the development team to test and verify fixes.
- Define requirements for proper testing environments.
- Identify features in the product to enable better testability.
- Determine software readiness for release to production.
- Build automation to enable continuous deployment.
- Write automated tests to verify analytics tracking events on both the client and server side.
- Create and maintain integration test suites.
- Run load, stress, and performance tests and generate actionable test reports.
- Lead/coordinate with local and remote Test Engineers to execute comprehensive test coverage of the ads pipeline.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to code in at least one object oriented programming language (Java, C++, Python)
- Proficiency in unix or linux OS, especially services administration.
- Familiarity with BASH shell scripting language.
- Experience testing RESTful client API requests and working with JSON or XML file formats.
- Familiarity with testing proxies, network traffic capture, and decoding https signals.
- Clear understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes.
Desirable skills:
- AWS or similar cloud services expertise.
- Familiarity with Boto scripting language for AWS.
- Startup experience or have worked in fast-paced, energetic environments.
- Github, Jenkins, Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).
- Ability to troubleshoot the entire stack to find root causes.
- Knowledge of ad and metrics tracking (CTR, impressions, analytics)
- Be an outspoken advocate for improving code quality and ability voice your opinions.
- Good sense of humor and easy-going personality will fit well at Quixey.
