Short Description:  As a Lead Network Administrator, this position will be responsible for helping design, install, and monitor the fail/fix support of the Department of Finance & Administration network.

Complete Description:  As a Lead Network Administrator, this position will be responsible for helping design, install, and monitor the fail/fix support of the Department of Finance & Administration network.  Candidates should also have experience in setting up a SharePoint environment.  Candidate should have managed a network with over 200 end users.  Candidate will have prior experience with fail/fix network management software like WhatsUp Gold and bringing back on-line any servers or peripheral devices.  Candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the CISCO Firewall.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Local candidates preferred.
Candidates need to be W-2 or I-9 directly to the submitting vendor.

All roles specified in SA 1 & 2 --- 
Monitor and repair network outages.
Implement automated Network Management software.

Familiarity with advanced system administrator tools and process.
Maintain the physical and virtual servers in Microsoft environments.
Maintain Linux based environments.
Responsible for building and maintain enterprise servers.
Maintain the file and print capacity.
Ensures that backups are performed as appropriate.
Provide Tier 2 Network support.
Experience with administration using PowerShell
Ability to understand programs and how they operate
Communicate accurate and useful status updates.
Manage and report time spent on all work activities.
Follow quality standards.
Ability to work in a team environment.

Strong communication skills; both written and spoken. 
Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts.

Function as the liaison to the various support groups with whom the systems management team interfaces.
Develop the technical infrastructure maintenance strategy.

Act as a system’s management expert.
Analyze, determine, and document requirements in terms of system management needs and implement them.
