Need resource to lead Business Transformation Office's implementation of Business Architecture and the Business Reference Model into the organization.
Business architecture is a blueprint for VDOT that provides a common understanding of the services it delivers. At VDOT, business architecture is captured in a business reference model and business capability map each of which categorize our primary business functions by service areas, business domains and business capabilities. The business architecture describes “What” VDOT does not “How” it is done". Business Architects increase operational effectiveness by increasing awareness of the origins and contributing factors of specific problems across the organization. The result can be a full scope of the problem, along with the effects, opportunities, and risks associated with its resolution. The VDOT Enterprise Architecture is comprised of four domains: Business Architecture, Data Architecture, Applications Architecture, and Technology Architecture.
The Business Transformation Office is responsible for the Business Architecture and is seeking a resource to:
• Lead development of Business Reference Model
• Integrate BRM with other Business Architecture Domains (i.e., application, data, technology)
• Identify requirements for and develop Sharepoint repository for business process maps
• Identify other functionality required to optimize utility of BRM
• Provide knowledge transfer to BTO staff
• Work with agency's business architecture working group to ensure proper coordination.
