Responsibilities:

The Client is tasked with working with taxpayer records in order to conduct an audit to ensure proper collection and remittance of state taxes and fees.  The majority of large taxpayers use SAP Financial Accounting Systems.  To ensure that we have the optimum solution for current and future processing needs, we are requesting an independent contractor (Worker) to analyze current procedures and identify business process improvements to extract SAP data needed to conduct audits, document these procedures, and train our employees so that they can assist taxpayers in extracting the data we need. 

 

The Worker will:

  • Analyze current procedures with SAP software and identify business improvements
  • Analyze, develop and execute reporting for meaningful business activities/initiatives, including developing time estimates, executing reporting tasks, formatting and editing as required.
  • Collaborate on technical reporting solutions and designs; ensuring business needs are appropriately addressed through appropriate technical/software solutions and configurations.
  • Assist in defining reporting needs, based on existing and future business requirements.
  • Review system processes to ensure reporting objectives are achievable and recommends process changes accordingly.
  • Use industry standard analysis techniques such as data flow modeling, workflow analysis, functional decomposition analysis and business rule definition to analyze business objectives/needs and document business requirements.
  • Evaluate and analyzes information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts with both high-level information and details.

·         Provide mentoring and coaching to other functional and technical team members in the SAP FICO area.

  • Work with team members, subject matter experts and vendors.

·         Create accurate documentation of current environment and recommended environment.

·         Create training materials and lead training classes regarding SAP data extraction.

·         Troubleshoot implementation issues.

The Worker will need to perform the following tasks and assignments:

  • Review, analyze and refine (as needed) current SAP handling procedures.
  • Develop procedures for extracting data and creating reports (output/data set-functional for to the Tax Auditor).
  • Present proposed solutions to project team members for validation including identification of any restrictions or limitations in the solution.
  • Provide technical solutions and assistance for the SAP FICO software (SAP – solution manager, resources planning, Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise Resource Planning, Solution Manager).
  • Prepare a solution deployment plan.
  • Participate in weekly review sessions.
  • Work closely with technical lead, Project Manager (PM) and subject matter experts.
  • Follow the standard CPA guidelines and procedures for performing contracted services.
  • Transfer working knowledge to current staff.

The Worker must have experience in industry/consulting hand on work in SAP with strong knowledge of SAP. They must also have experience in writing functional specification/configuration documents.  

 

Onsite Requirement: Worker will be required to work onsite with the team.  Working remotely will be limited and must be pre-approved by the Project Manager/Direct Supervisor.

 

Travel Requirement: Worker may be required to travel to Dallas and/or Houston.  Worker will be paid their hourly rate for travel time in lieu of any travel expenses.

 

Qualifications:
