JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide technical assistance to computer system users on a variety of issues.

 

IT Asset Management Specialist 3-5 Year(s) experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Formulates and implements processes, procedures and systems for tracking and analyzing software, hardware, and equipment from requisition through retirement.

Accounts for the IT assets to include the following; PCs, monitors, laptops, printers, network equipment, mobile technology and other peripherals needed in support of the IT Operations. Utilize inventory tools to manage all assets within the organization and affiliated offsite locations as required.

Manages acquisition of assets from planning through deployment.

Reports to senior management ITAM/life cycles and resolve conflicts.

Tracks entire life-cycle management for each asset in order to maintain warranty information, refresh date, and end of life data information.

Works directly with Program Manager of Operations Customer Support to maintain 100 percent inventory accuracy.

Develops written plans, policies, and procedures to document processes to support the asset management lifecycle.

Conducts annual inventory audit and develop process and procedures to ensure accuracy.

Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)

Knowledge of other business areas: Purchasing, Receiving and Production.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory control.

Experience in IT Asset Management/Inventory with software.

Must be able to run analytics, reporting, monitor and drive activity using WASP or other tools.  Using Excel (must be strong with pivot tables, V Lookups and H lookups).  Experience with WASP or Remedy desired

3. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.

4. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.

6. Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from remote location.

11. Able to diagnose and repair products by replacing worn or broken parts, and making technical adjustments.

12. Makes appropriate use of reference publications and diagnostic aids in resolving technical problems.

14. Assists in coordination of changes, upgrades and new products, ensuring systems shall operate correctly in current and future environment.

15. Provides accurate and complete answers to general use and 35 administrative environment questions in a timely manner.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:
