JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provides assessments of technical and operational practices based on leading industry standards specific to the requested technology.

•             The Senior Project Manager must have a minimum of 8+ years of demonstrated experience in management and implementation of network and infrastructure IT projects. The suitable candidate must be able to manage a senior team of technical resources – network engineer, developer, business analyst, and testers. Background in network and infrastructure Management - Effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.

•             Vendor Relationship Management – Partner with strategic, outsourced technology providers to manage and cultivate relationships, to promote efficient and effective integration of technology, to govern contractual service level agreements, and to ensure quality and timely delivery of service and support

 

 

The Senior Project Manager's duties include but are not limited to:

 

•             Leading cross-functional teams, project managers, business analysts, and developers to plan and execute work 

•             Expertise in using project scheduling, issue tracking and financial tools for project status reporting

•             Adherence to software development lifecycle processes including waterfall or agile methodologies (SCRUM)

•             Expertise in organizing and executing tasks, translate priorities to a plan and remain flexible as requirements change during the project lifecycle

•             Document processes and communicate effectively to project team members on status, including issues and risks

•             Manage a team of highly qualified System and Network Engineers

•             Participate in the development and execution of business strategies and tactics in support of the IT Operations mission including IT Administration, project planning, and prioritization

•             Manage risk effectively and identify appropriate level solutions to mitigate risk

•             Runs complex projects/programs from requirements gathering to design, development and deployment

•             Develops full scale Project Plans and schedules project deliverables, goals, milestones

•             Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning

•             Directs and oversees project team and manages conflicts within group

•             Implements and manages changes to requirements and the project to achieve project outputs

•             Tracks project deliverables using appropriate tools

•             Performs project evaluations and assessment of results

•             Identifies, documents and communicates project risks and issues

•             Efficiently handles project issues with minimal impact to project

•             Develops statements of work for external services

•             Designs and maintain technical and project documentation

•             Reports status to senior management on project updates and key milestones.

Experience/Skill Requirements:

 

•             Experience with writing Scope of work, Prepare budget (Required 7 yrs)

•             Experience designing risk management plans (Required 7 yrs).

•             Experience leading focus work groups to elicit requirements, making recommendations, and manage the meeting (Required 7 yrs).

•             Experience with change/configuration management (Required 7 yrs.).

•             Experience  in Project Management (Required 7 yrs.).

•             Verbal, written, presentation, facilitation and business/IT partner interaction skills (Required 7 yrs.).

•             Microsoft Server 2008/2012 (Active Directory and DNS).

•             Virtualization – VMware/Hyper-V.

•             Security – Firewalls, Web Filtering & VPN Technologies.

•             Networking – MPLS Networks, VLAN, IP Subnets.

•             SharePoint 2010/2013.
