Job description:

OCTO seeks an experienced Program Manager (Technical Operations) with 10+ yrs. of experience leading technical teams, and overseeing the operational management and maintenance of an IT System.

 

This position is housed under the Office of the Chief Technology Officer in direct support of the DC Access System (DCAS).

 

The Office of the Chief Technology Officer is looking for a well-seasoned Program Manager who will oversee the operational functionality associated with the system. The incumbent will not only assume the overall leadership for the Operations and Maintenance of the DCAS System, but will also lead by example with a hands-on approach as the DC Access System team operates within a lean and highly cooperative business structure.

 

The Core duties associated with the role are as follows:

•           Oversee technical and functional needs for the system’s maintenance so as to ensure operational efficiency.

 

•           Assess and identify risks that have the potential of affecting the systems functionality, such as, but not limited to:

o          Budget.

o          Resources.

o          System Tools & SLAs

 

•           Communicate with all stakeholders and business partners.

 

•           Design and manage operational business procedures.

 

This individual will be working closely with the OCTO and its partner agencies to ensure the agencies’ priorities are met.

CONTRACT JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

1. Organizes, directs, and manages contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex, and inter- related project tasks.

2. Manages teams of contract Support Personnel at multiple locations.

3. Maintains and manages the client interface at the senior levels of the client organization.

4. Meets with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items.  Ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
