Short Description:  The Technical Specialist is a senior level resource with specialized knowledge in SharePoint development and maintenance.

Complete Description:  The purpose of this position is to provide a solution for document management, workspace management and wiki management for The Sustainability Consortium (TSC), a unit of University of Arkansas Fayetteville’s Walton College of Business.

The project will consist of providing support for an existing Sharepoint software infrastructure, hosted by Arkansas DIS, where TSC houses and continuously expands a collaborative database that organizes and communicates sustainability information regarding consumer packaged goods, and continuing to expand capabilities of TSC’s Sharepoint database, including a Research Database and a Member Portal.

This position will require the candidate to manage and execute tasking, scheduling, quality, troubleshooting performance; risk mitigation and interfacing with the customer in order to ensure Task Order objectives are met. This position will work with customers from conception to deployment and make recommendations throughout the process. In addition, they will work with the Department of Information Systems to ensure process and governance are met to adhere to SDLC (System Development Life Cycle). 

Provide requirements development support, scheduling, and communications to meet application development needs for the customer.

Services available are limited to the following deliverables-based functions:
Provide maintenance to TSC’s Sharepoint-housed Research Database and Member Portal.
Provide high level support, ongoing programming and development to TSC’s Sharepoint database, as directed by TSC.
Availability to respond to requests as needed, including short-notice timelines.
Creation/maintenance of SharePoint workflows
Creation/maintenance of SharePoint surveys, forms, lists, and libraries
Develop custom SharePoint applications using out of the box SharePoint technology or custom code per TSC requirements of each project.
Provide project level documentation and end user manuals for specific applications.
Elicit requirements for software development using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analyses.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Functional requirements (Business Requirements Document), Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs.
Establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
Work with TSC  staff to gather requirements on SharePoint applications.
Work with TSC to implement new SharePoint applications.
Provide training to power users and site owners for site maintenance and newly developed applications.
