Job description:

This position is located in the District of Columbia, Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) at 200 I Street SE, Washington, DC, 20003. Cloud Identity Engineer (CIE) with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Identity technologies (MIM, FIM) and best practices in the Government sector.

CIE will work as directed by the Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) to implement Microsoft Identity related technologies and solve complex problems related the City’s migration to Office 365. This role has a heavy emphasis on Identity technologies – Microsoft Identity Manager - Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager in multi domain environment and includes following tasks:

Detailed Responsibilities Include:

a.         Designing and implement multi-forest connectivity to Azure Active Directory.

b.         Deploy and manage Microsoft Identity Manager 2016

c.         Develop processes to support the onboarding of City agencies’ Active Directory environments.

d.         Advising City agencies IT staff on Active Directory Identity issues.

e.         Authoring and Implementing PowerShell scripting.

f.          Troubleshooting Azure Active Directory.

g.         Configuring Active Directory Federation Services.

h.         Configuring and integrating Azure Multi-factor Authentication.

i.          Troubleshooting Single Sign On (SSO).

j.          Work with 3rd party vendors, such as the Microsoft FastTrack team to solve complex identity problems.

k.         In-depth knowledge of Enterprise O365, Azure AD, Windows 2008/2012 Server, Microsoft Exchange 2007/2013/2016, LDAP and Active Directory.

l.          Strong technical experience with Identity management is a must.

m.        Experience in integration and migration of Active Directory and MS Exchange Email into cloud environment.

n.         Strong PowerShell scripting skill is a must.

o.         Thorough understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Hypervisor, etc.),

p.         Deep understanding of cloud architecture to include: Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-Service (SaaS) solutions and cloud delivery models.

q.         Understand current utilization of O365 licenses and entitlement.

r.          Understand AD FS Claim Based Rules

s.     Working knowledge of Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services

t.      Working knowledge of C Sharp (programming language)

CONTRACT JOB DESCRIPTION

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience; or a current Project Management

Professional (PMP) Certification.
