Job description:

Experienced HpExstream Administrator/Developer with proven Proven hands-on experience with development, maintenance , design and delivery of HP Exstream Dialogue composition. Working with different output formats (AFP, PDF, PostScript), queues and object.

This position is housed under the Office of the Chief Technology Officer in direct support of the DC Access System (DCAS).

 

The Office of the Chief Technology Officer is looking for an experienced HP Exstream Administrator w/Dev Support whose primary responsibilities include maintenance, support, monitoring, helping with the development of the HP Exstream Suite, as well as, the integration of the HP Exstream Application server with another large ERP sized system. 

Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the server is up and running at all times and will notify the relevant parties in case of an outage or issue. The monitoring aspect also requires configuring the HP Server and schema to point to a different database instance such as Disaster Recovery Database. 

 

This position will also help in implementing requirements taken from clients, working with clients in a cross-functional and technical environment and implementing their ideas.  The incumbent will build templates and notifications for district citizens while ensuring that their work is of high quality, defect free and adheres to industry standards for software deployment methodologies. 

 

Must have experience with HP Exstream Designer v9, HP Command Center and Tools.  Nice to have experience any of the following is favorable:  Java, XML, SQL, and WebLogic. 

 

The successful candidates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, characteristics, experiences and/or abilities in the below core duties:

 

•             Performs design & development of applications on moderate to complex projects utilizing HP Exstream Designer and Tools version 9.x or previous.

•             Upgrade expereince with HP Exstream version 9.x or previous.

•             HP Exstream Migration experience.

•             Must have the capacity to work on multiple projects concurrently to meet and exceed customer requests.

•             Ability to work with clients and capture their requirements.

•             Ask informative questions to bridge the gaps.

•             Maintain the environment (DEV, TEST, UAT) and ensure best practices of code keeping is followed for example Version control, back-ups etc.

•             Interacts daily with government clients in order to meet the technical requirements for new initiatives.

•             Works with Quality Assurance / Quality Control teams to insure the application remains secure and defect free.

•             Defines and documents processes to be used by all application developers on the team.

 

The incumbent will become an integral part of the DCAS Team working with all related teams working towards the overall goal of successful system implementation and management so as to provide efficient services to the citizens of the District of Columba.

 

This individual will be working closely with the DHS and its partner agencies to ensure the agencies’ priorities are met. This is a position in the DC Access System (DCAS) project.
