Paranet was started in 1991, in Houston, Texas by 2 founders. It provided professional services to Oil companies that needed UNIX administrators, Network Operating Systems (Microsoft/Novell) support and Cisco Engineering. By 1997 it had grown to 1500 employees nation wide, with 225 Technical Analyst in Phoenix alone. With Employee numbers running as high as 6000, mine was 817. In 1997 the company was sold to Sprint. The Paranet branding of Professional Services, fraternity and methodology had become famous for its excellence.
