Billing Manager - IT/Billing Department

  • Directed the everyday operations for creation and maintenance of monthly residential and business invoices - for Telephone, Video, Internet, CABS, Directory Advertising, and Wireless telephone.
  • Managed Revenue Assurance for 5 monthly bill cycles, setting benchmarks and daily analysis of any variances to quickly identify and minimize leakage due to system and human errors or fraud.
  • Managed bad debt collections, payment services, credit card transactions, interconnect agreements, wireless roaming agreements and electronic payment processing.
  • Project Manager for the conversion of 50,000 wireless customers from VeriSign billing platform to Hargray internal billing system. Several months later converted same wireless customer base from Hargray billing to Cricket Wireless billing system while leaving bundled customers intact.
  • Responsible for setting the billing departments budgets, performance reviews and keeping the team morale positive and upbeat when dealing with consistently tight short notice deadlines. Team always met deadlines with very high quality standards.
  • Liaison between the Marketing department and IT Billing department on rollout and testing of new service plans, promotional campaigns, invoice messages and direct mail inserts.
  • Project manager of major invoice redesign. Redesign also created a much more customer friendly invoice and allowed for quad service bundles. At the same time of invoice redesign, the entire billing rating process was brought in-house saving the company $800,000+ in yearly savings.
  • Transitioned in-house payment processing to an external contracted lockbox in coordination with the invoice redesign. Continued ongoing management over the new lockbox monitoring daily transactions.

  • Assisted in the initial set up of new retail stores, securing leases, and point of sale stations/kiosks for the new wireless division of Hargray.
  • Directed the operations of six direct retail stores and multiple indirect stores covering 3 counties in South Carolina.
  • Implemented, trained and rolled out new wireless billing systems for both Prepay and Post-pay. Managed the ongoing administration of these new billing systems with implementing new rate plans, features, campaigns and promotions.
  • Implemented, trained and rolled out new phone and accessory inventory system and processes, including warranty exchange and insurance programs.
  • Managed the day to day activities of four business sales reps.
  • Oversaw the operations of several indirect sales channels including initial set-up and ongoing support.
  • Managed the implementation of credit and activation process incorporating Equifax scores and deposits levels into POS/Billing OSS.
