The objective of the reporting is to analyze the volume of data handled using 5010 format and turnaround time of the claim processing. The different sources of this data were OLAP data from SAP BW, DB2 databases.

Responsibilities as a Business Objects Developer:

  • Analyzed the Functional Design requirements and converting them to technical requirements.
  • Preparation of Detail Design Specification documents for Universe and Report Development.

This project involves in design and development of a Life Insurance Data mart in Enterprise web reporting system. This Insta-Reporting comprises essential key performance Indicators and reports of life Insurance business. This system covers various subject areas of life insurance such as Policy, Claims, Premium, Loss Ratio, and Growth rate. This provides end-to-end Analysis. The Data mart was developed and star schema was designed to handle the various reports. The Reporting is being developed using Business objects.
In order in incorporate its growing business and standardize a single reporting system, Nationwide implemented Business Objects as its main Reporting system.

  • Understanding the Requirement specification documents from both technical and business perspectives,
