Professional Experience

Oct 2007---Present Research Associate, Confidential, Louisville, KY
Core member of Pathology Core serving multi research groups for NIH funded projects, including data collection, processing, graphing, statistic modeling and analyses.

Key Projects & Accomplishments

  • Data mining for heart disease clinical diagnostic dataset. Conducted independent data mining study, using logistic regression model, generalized linear model, and mixed-effects model for analyses of patient diagnostic dataset, and compared the corresponding results for different models. The poster was accepted by the 12th Annual Data Mining Conference, M2009, Las Vegas.
  • Clinical trials for lung cancer with bone metastasis. Implemented statistical analyses on different biomarkers for clinical trial phase II study, performed longitudinal data analysis with mixed-effects model, screened the most correlated biomarker. The statistic report was used for supporting paper submission.
  • Clinical trials for prostate cancer. Performed longitudinal data analysis of treatment cycle effects on PSA marker, conducted survival data analysis on patient survival and time to disease progression, implemented categorical data analysis on the association between the treatment effects and patient pain improvement, and also achieved some complicated plots such as waterfall plot. The statistical report was used for paper submission.
  • Studies of chronic, long term, different doses of cardiac stem cell treatments, and VSEL stem cell study. Conducted data collection and statistical analyses for basic medical research on morphology and different sets of biomarkers, applied the statistical principles of randomization and blinded for experimental studies, and achieved maximum measure accuracy and precision on data collections. The data and the corresponding statistical analysis reports were used for manuscripts and publications.
  • Study of CXCR4 antagonism exacerbates myocardial infarction. Conducted data collection and statistical analysis for basic medical research, performed t-test, ANOVA, and non-parametric statistical analyses. The data and statistical analysis resutls were used for paper submission.
