FlexNAP stands for Flexible Network Access Protocol is the core application for the Corning Cable Systems line of Business. CCS manufactures various cables and parts for the telecommunication industry. This application sits at the core of CCSs revenue model and is a backbone for their business operations. FlexNAP is the brand name of the cable which is especially built on the requirements of the customers. The application is designed and developed using Component based Logical and Scalable Architecture and starting from a small component exclusively for Verizon Customer to a massive E-Commerce application for all customers across the globe. The application facilitates the customers to build the cable as per their specifications and place the order. The application has a BizTalk interface to acknowledge the order confirmation to the users and also posting the order specifications to the manufacturing system implemented on SAP. The application uses excessive Java Scripting and Ajax technology. The application is a perfect example of Agile Methodology of project development spanned over a year with releases planned for every two months.

COFI application is an Inventory application for Corning Optical Fiber line of business. Corning Optical Fiber business deals with manufacturing and supplying of Optical Fibers across the world and is the market leader. The Main functionality of this application is to receipt inventory, fulfill inventory for orders, pack the inventory and perform inventory check for various Warehouses of the business. COFI is interfaced with PeopleSoft and HighJump scanning application. Orders are created in PeopleSoft and are fulfilled using COFI Web Application. Order receipting to stock, picking items, packing fibers into containers are done using High Jump scanning utility and the status is validated and reports are printed using web tool. The application is interfaced to PeopleSoft using Informatica.

COF OptoCommerce is the Ecommerce website for the Corning Optical Fiber business.
In the Optical Fiber World, an optical fiber without the data cannot be used for anything.
The application is used to track the orders, see and download the Fiber Data, send the data to the customers after the Orders are shipped. This is a legacy application built using VB, COM, and ASP. The system is designed based on SOA architecture. The application is authenticated using Microsoft Site Server and is interfaced between other systems using COM +.
The project is to automate sending the fiber data after the shipment to Tier2 customers that was carried out manually using Excel Macros. The application has a BizTalk interface which sends the files generated by the system to the customers.

The application has very complex algorithms for Fulfillment and Demand Planning. The application is directly connected to the PeopleSoft database and the tables are shared with other tables in the ERP system. Scope of the project is to enhance the functionality and incorporate features such as Spliced Management, Fiber Sets, and Excess Fiber calculation.
