JOB DESCRIPTION:

Candidate contributes to the development, delivery and maintenance of the new AOL Mail application
Performs design, development, testing, documentation, and analysis of software applications for Aol’s new email host backend. Assignments include development of new software programs, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software.
Maintain, tune and repair applications in order to keep them performing according to customer’s technical and functional requirements.

SKILLS:

Java Developer with 5+ years of experience (knowledge of Java 1.5 or later preferred).
Must be able to work creatively and analytically in a problem solving environment under minimum supervision.
Knowledge of Java, J2SE, JDBC, JavaScript, XML Processing, web services, and J2EE.
Experienced developing Apache/Tomcat/MySQL based Web Services using Java and frameworks.
Knowledge of JSON, XML, and SOAP.
UML tools experience.
Linux environment experience.
MTA, LDAP, IMAP experience desired, but not required.
Proficiency with Javabased application development using Net Beans IDE and JBoss.
Familiarity with Maven or similar source code management applications.
Proficiency with JUnit or other unit performance testing applications.
Experience working with large teams on complex Javacentric applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
