- As a Business Analyst and programmer wrote programs from customer requirements to support business applications on IBM mainframes using COBOL, Easytrieve, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and SAP/R3 4.6c Accounts Payable and General Ledger using ABAP in a UNIX environment; developed over 100 objects in ABAP to enhance and support the Accounts Payable module; managed, tracked and completed all required system configuration changes using the IMG.
- Served as one of three team members responsible for the implementation of the SAP/R3 4.0b FI/CO Accounts Payable module for non-purchase order payables; integrated 40 payable systems into the new Accounts Payable system and created a single payment point for all non-purchase order disbursements; the interface saved the company thousands of dollars each month and reduced the number of open bank accounts that required internal reconciliation.
- Automated the SAP F110 Payment Process using a combination of input files and ABAP BDC programs. The entering of payment parameters and the processing of the F110 Proposal, Payment & Print processes is completely automated. This allowed the SAP payment process to begin and complete overnight without any human intervention.
- Other key highlights included the implementation of United States and Canada Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT- ACH) electronic payment processes, United States wire payment processes (Pay$tream) and foreign currency wire payment processes (PaySource); early team accomplishments included the installation of the Geac SmartStream Accounts Payable module; following design and analysis oversaw the final programming and system implementation.
