I work with the Credit Card Services (CCS) division of JP Morgan Chase, playing the role of IT business and process analyst in Marketing Services’ applications development team.

Project: In May’09 President Obama signed CARD (Credit Card accountability, responsibility and Disclosure) Act of 2009 which impacted RegZ/ UDAP. All US Card issuers need to comply with these regulation changes by 22ndFeb’10. A major category of these regulations affected pricing and fees changes. This project (Account Pricing & Terms Strategy) was an initiative to develop a single decision-making process in order to comply with regulation changes. Process Event (PE) was created to serve as a centralized rules engine to maintain and implement pricing strategies on an account. This includes the ability to identify triggers necessitating a pricing action as well as executing actions on account and maintaining a record of all intended and executed actions. The rules engine was also responsible to review the re-priced accounts periodically and cure them if criteria are met on the account.
The second Phase of this project was to convert this rules engine that was originally created in SAS into ILOG JRules BRMS (an IBM product) based platform.
