- Perform duties of a First Line Supervisor as requested in support of upcoming INPO (Institute of Nuclear Power Operators) evaluation during 06/2014.
- Raised FME risk level at routine entry area of station affecting all site workers on a daily basis resulting in heightened worker awareness of the FME program and FMI (Foreign Material Intrusion) defenses.

- Identified two separate types of SCWE behavior challenges in their early stages (employee/supervisor communication and retaliation) and reported both to the applicable site’s senior management representatives for further review.
- Identified weaknesses in the change management program evaluation for new FME program requirements prior to implementation.
- Identified past and present PU&A (procedure use and adherence) failures in the area of switchyard activities regarding supplemental supervisor qualification verification and oversight of supplemental workers by site supervision, to site senior management. Unfortunately, follow up bi-weekly reminders to senior management prior to a scheduled outage were unsuccessful with affecting change in this area and the site experienced two major human error incidents with switchyard supplemental personnel (mobile crane tipped over on its side and 50% loss of offsite power).
- Invaluable exposure to the abundance of information available from INPO, NRC, EPRI, etc. related to industry OE, best practices and evaluations.
- Served as FME (Foreign Material Exclusion) Coordinator ( ) and successfully eliminated INPO FME AFI (Area For Improvement) in one 18-month refuel cycle. (Kewaunee specific )
- Created, chartered and chaired a “FME / Housekeeping Committee at Kewaunee Power Station. The communication and work performed by the committee members with station personnel was instrumental in completing the INPO FME AFI in just one refueling cycle.
- Designed “maintenance friendly” FME covers for hand-hole openings on GM EMD engines resulting in the recovery of three man hours lost every twelve hour shift.
- Following first time use of these covers, I requested manufacturer to produce and make available to other owners of this type engine. These covers were purchased by other utilities that owned this style engine including the OEM vendor.
