SUMMARY:

  • 10+ years of experience in requirements definition and management, business analysis and data modelling
  • Solid understanding of Capital Markets, in particular the relationships between transactions, positions, asset class types and differences, client accounts, etc... Specific experience in the Prime Brokerage space highly desired.
  • Heavy Business Intelligence background to include technical and data analysis, understanding of data models, experience building reporting analytics, data flow design and analysis, data acquisition, profiling and modelling, writing source to target mapping
  • Strong SQL Server and database modeling/development experience, including performance tuning and complex query development
  • Fluent in the standard development lifecycle (Analyze/spec/develop/unit test/UAT/deploy)
  • Familiar with data warehouse design and large database applications and able to understand stored procedure code to extract business requirements/logic
  • Experience developing requirements and functional specifications to a high standard
  • Experience working with a mixed team of business and technical people
  • Experience working effectively with business users to identify required changes
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Competent user of MS Office and financial software packages

Lead Data Analyst

Responsibilities:

  • Provide business analysis on high - scale investment banking projects.
  • Requirements definition and management duties to include facilitating scoping and business priority setting for large or complex changes involving stakeholders as needed, driving the requirements elicitation process, and obtaining formal agreement from senior stakeholders. Also responsible for the investigation and application of changes to program scope and identifying the impact of external influences on business requirements affecting the program or project.
  • Business Analysis duties include determining business requirements and specifying effective business processes through improvements in information systems and management, practices, procedures, and organization change. Responsible for applying and monitoring the use of required modelling and analysis tools, methods and standards, conducting investigations, preparing business cases, and identifying stakeholders and their business needs.
  • Working closely with business users, the primary focus will be to ensure streamlined delivery of projects by undertaking duties such as translating business requirements into functional specifications and documenting business requirements, data analysis and validation, reporting and undertaking workshops.
  • The Lead Data Analyst will be the person who bridges the gap between IT and the business and therefore having excellent communication skills, good technical know-how combined with a drive to deliver beyond expectations is paramount to the success of your role.
