 Network Engineer

• Primary duties included managing and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure to include all move add changes of routers, switches, firewalls and load-balancers.  IT Infrastructure Manager

• Designed and implemented a new corporate headquarters office with over 250 users. Redesigned LAN/WAN topology to industry best practices to include contiguous VLAN segmentation by function and proper root-bridge designation with redundant edge switch connectivity to the core. Results included a high available, secure, scalable network that supports all access to voice, data, wireless and video resources.
• Upgraded primary Teir-1 data center infrastructure: Tasks included removing a pair of 3750 switches and replacing with an enterprise class 6509E switch. The switch was successfully transitioned into production with less than 30 minutes of network downtime. The 6509 provided significant gains in back plain throughput along with greater port-density and higher availability of network resources.
• Enabled proactive centralized network management of all and switches within the enterprise by managing the implementation of  Works management suite which provided a means of change and application control as well as configuration back-up management.
