• Developed and programmed client on-boarding solution using Oracle Application Express and PL/SQL. The application is used by the Client Services team to collect new client information. The application automatically creates all database records for a new client in the Financial Accounting System, and provides exception reporting to Client Services via e-mail work flow. Prior to the development of this application, Client Services would manually key each data point. This solution cut the time to bring on a new client from 90 days to 15 days. Also developed and programmed a software solution using Oracle Application Express and PL/SQL for making price changes in Financial Accounting System. The application makes price changes for private equities and hedge funds in a single function rather than one by one. This one application saved the company 3500 per quarter in employee time.
• Provided design input and direction to the company's product in conjunction with the software development team. Revised the design from a flat text file system to an Oracle Data Warehouse. Developed the data warehouse using Oracle Warehouse Builder and SQL Developer. Designed new ETL process using PERL and Oracle PL/SQL This effort decreased product time-to-deliver by over 400 and allowed the integration of multiple source systems into the data warehouse.

Database Systems Manager

• Responsible for the design and installation of computer systems to support the implementation of an entirely new billing system. Designed a highly-available and scalable environment using Oracle's RAC technology and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Fourteen servers are used in an Oracle Grid to provide maximum availability and performance. These systems have been running in production since January 21st, 2005 and have never had unscheduled downtime. All Linux maintenance tasks, Oracle maintenance tasks, and database backups are automated and produce work flow notifications to the Database Systems Team when tasks are completed. The site is used as Technical Reference by Oracle Corporation for new customers.
• Managed the Database Systems Team. This group is responsible for the administration of the critical systems that support the company's billing application. The Database Systems Team is also responsible for the development of custom in-house applications to support business initiatives. In 2006, the various applications developed by the Database Systems Team saved the company an estimated 3.5 million dollars via operational process improvement and salaried employee time savings.
• Designed, programmed, and implemented a data warehousing solution to provide strategic information to company's executives. Data from the legacy billing system and new billing system are combined to provide trend analysis of company revenue data and operational performance. Information is presented via an Oracle Portal. Oracle Discoverer 10g is used in conjunction with the portal technology to provide real time drill-down and business analytic capabilities.
• Developed a custom CRM solution for the company's sales force. CARE Customer Acquisition and Retention Enterprise is a CGI based application that stores data in an Oracle database. The entire sales process is tracked in this application from the identification of potential new business to the signing of contracts. The system also provides automated work flow and performance trend reports to management to improve the overall sales process.
• Identified a need for an HR forms solution for the company. The company has a high turnover rate at it's 30 service centers due to the nature of it's business. Designed, programmed, and implemented a CGI application that allows new hires to input key employment information via a web browser. The application then generates the new hire packet in PDF format. That packet is e-mailed to the office manager at the new employee's location. This application cut processing of new employees from over 3 hours to less than 30 minutes. In the first year alone, this application saved the company an estimated 270,000.

PeopleSoft Upgrade Consultant

• Performed PeopleSoft upgrade from 8.8 to 8.8 SP1 for client in Windows 2000/SQL Server environment. Responsible for all technical aspects of the upgrade. Performed the upgrade and applied all patches and tax updates as dictated by the upgrade path.
• Tuned PeopleSoft Internet Architecture in old and new environments to eliminate performance issues. Client went from an average of 12 performance-related help desk calls daily to 0. Also revamped client's architecture to provide fail-over capability in the event of hardware or software failure.

• Performed as PeopleSoft Technical Lead on project to move client's infrastructure to new site in Orlando, FL. Designed new infrastructure utilizing Oracle 9I RAC Real Application Cluster for maximum high availability and scalability. Performed installation of the new infrastructure, as well as successful load tests and successful cut over from Duluth, GA facility to Orlando facility. Designed and programmed ETL Extract/Transformation/Load process to combine legacy/current data and load the result into the data mart. Duplicated existing legacy reports in new SQR reports. Also designed PeopleSoft Financials menus, panel groups, panels, records, and fields to allow for batch and ad-hoc reporting, as well as real-time analysis of the sales data via a PeopleSoft panel.
