Owner/Consultant
Started business providing technology products and services to clients. I saw a need that could be filled in the Baton Rouge area when many businesses did not know who to contact when they need technology services. A high percentage of businesses that knew of a company to contact were not satisfied with the technical assistance they were receiving. My company specializes in consulting and selling technology products and services to clients. I positioned myself as a service broker so that my clients know that I have not committed myself to any one particular technology by personally investing money into a technology that may quickly become obsolete. This gives them comfort in knowing that I have their best interest in mind and will select the best service company to fill their current need. I provide IT consulting services which include but is not limited to the areas of: managed services, remote data backup, disaster recovery, hardware sales and installation, software sales and installation, websites, advising clients on the pros and cons of which directions to take with their business in regards to maximizing efficiency through the use of technology, etc. Since the technical expertise and ability to connect and communicate with people is already my strength, my focus is on networking and relationship building to grow the business. In order to network and build relationships with others efficiently, I've joined and visited business networking groups as well as civic organizations and participate in recreational hobbies which involve groups.

- Designed and developed numerous VB.NET applications and provided guidance to management and developers on many issues, which include and are not limited to: writing efficient SQL queries, writing efficient object oriented code, writing code correctly so that it conforms to best practices and standards which prevent many problems in the future, choosing the appropriate design pattern for a specific application development problem, how to improve processes so that routine tasks are streamlined and automated when possible, keeping SQL Server properly indexed at client sites, performance tuning SQL Server, tips and tricks to make database administration tasks much easier and efficient, recommending approaches to take when dealing with difficult clients so that the goals of both parties client and our company can be achieved.
- Designed and developed a unique method of inter-process communication between two separate executables written in Clarion 6 and VB.NET which allowed the parent process to properly identify the correct child process to send data to and receive data from without intermingling messages when multiple users are on at the same time. Typical IPC methods such as named pipes proved to be unreliable and therefore provided the motivation to find a different approach.
