Responsibilites:

First I take Handover from my college and asking some pending task Or ongoing task
Then I need to check all mail and if any pending mail and activity is over then I need to drop mail.
Also need to check free space on server side and in database side
Server side we need to check database related file system (archivelog and datafile )
If archivelog file system get over limit (we remove previous archive log and create space for same) if datafile mount point get over limit then we draft mail for assigning space for related file system and also take approval for same.
Also need to act as per receiving request from user ( create user, granting privileges, create view, synonyms, dblinks )
We arrange backup policy .here we have arranged RMAN and export backups; it will take disk as well as tape.
Monitoring and troubleshooting in database side issues.

Proactively monitor alert log file . if we find any ORA ERROR then we raise SR for same taking follow - up and get is resolved the same issue .we putting our efforts for same.
