Role Senior QA lead

• Due to 1099 Regulatory to treat all FIPB asset Transfer trades as non-taxable event, TRS will attach a specific blotter code '9B', and Trailer code 'QV' and special instructions when they are booked in JPMCC downstream system. This Enhancement included both domestic and International Inventory/Outright trade. This was a very complex project as it involved many downstream systems like Impact, Gloss, FISR, PBBK, FISR and many file input methods as TMFF, GFL, CFL, BONDFIRE, SWIFT, TUA etc.
• TM Admin never had the capability to process the Equity asset transfer trade via Swift message. Till now, Client use to process the equity asset transfer trades through TMFF file. As part of this project, A new capability were added to TM Admin. Now client could inject the Equity asset transfer trade via Swift messages MT540, MT541, MT542, MT543 and could receive the outbound MT544, MT545, MT546, MT547 and MT548 . Once the Trades gets settled in downstream system, MRA system generates the Outbound and send it to client. This was a very challenging and cumbersome project as it involved multiple downstream systems Swift Bus, OFAC, MRA, MERVA, GLOSS, KAFD, DTC, PBBK etc and multiple teams.

Reporting Services - It is a centralized Reporting system. It gets the reports from various sources like margin, stock loan, hedge funds, trade manager, risk management, custody, corporate actions, money transfer etc line of business and delivers it to clients like Jefferies, citco, first new York on daily basis. It delivers more than 4 millions reports on monthly basis to the client using the various mechanisms like FTP, Email, GSCLI, ClientAPI, and Morcom prime, Myreports.

SWIFT RELEASE

Swift Community comes with the changes in format of Swift Messages every year. BNYM's corporate Action tool 'CAscade' needs to implement these changes before an agreed upon date so that messages can flow seamlessly between information sources, Market Infrastructure, Local Agents, Global Custodian and Local Agents. Cascade Corporate action tool utilizes few Swift Message like MT564, MT565, MT567 and MT568. CASCADE QA team needs to make sure that Input/Output Swift message are industry compliant.

CASCADE ENHANCEMENT MAINTENCE RELEASE

All Enhancements to Cascade application is taken as a Separate Project named 'Cascade Enhancement'. This Release is quarterly and mostly includes fix for upto15 production defects or few TRF.

THINK OR SWIM MARGIN REQUIREMENT PROJECT

Think Or Swim Company is the Latest Acquisition of TD Ameritrade. The purpose of this Project is to review and align the firm's margin requirement so that TOS Think or Swim and TDA are in line with each other and are up to date. As part of this project, margin requirement of TDAmeritrade System were made in line with TOS.In support of the Think or Swim and SOA project, the proposal was made to re-engineer the current calculations for margin data. The proposal is to build out a net new service where the calculations can be made at any given time and does not solely reside in BOS and rely on end of day margin batch to perform the calculations

Option Symbology Initiative

I worked on this Project just for a Month. The Options Symbology Initiative is an Industry-led project designed to modernize how US List Options are identified. There are three main components of OSI: Shift from fractional Strike prices to Decimal Strike price, Elimination of the OPRA code The Last two letters of the current options symbol and consolidation of standard options symbols to match the underlying root symbol

NSCC File Automation

• PNC process Mutual Fund trades for Ameritrade. Ameritrade doesn't process Mutual Fund Trade by himself. At end of the day Ameritrade aggregates the Mutual fund order in Omnibus Order file and send it to PNC through Secure Server. PNC process them on behalf of Ameritrade and provide confirmation to Ameritrade. In turn Ameritrade credits shares to individual client account. Fund Serve Orders are sent to DTCC and DTCC sends it to Fund Company.
• As part of this Project, Mutual Fund Process was automated and refined. DTCC sends us Dividends File, Position SIAC2029, SIAC2026, SIAC2156, SIAC2362, SIAC2361 and SIAC2363 file on daily basis. Till now Ameritrade was processing these file manually. As part of this Process, systems were built to process the files automatically without human intervention and post it in Ameritrade System.
• During March 2008, TDAmeritrade completed it deal with Fiserv and acquired Fiserv Investment Support Services. As part of this Project, Transaction History of all those accounts available in FiserV System was brought from FiserV to TDAmeritrade. Fiserv has three systems -Global Plus, SURPAS and Phoenix. Global Plus has only Retail client, Surpas and Phoenix had Institutional and Retail. As part of this Project, Transaction History from all three systems was carried to TDAmeritrade. It was very complex system and required a great deal of FiserV and TDAmeritrade system's Knowledge.
• Confidential is owner of largest online brokerage in the world in number of largest equity order placed per day. More than 400 K orders are placed in Ameritrade per day. Services offered include common and preferred stocks, ETFs, Options Trades, Mutual Funds, Fixed Income, Margin Lending and cash Management services.

P2 Practice Access Program

Before the Implementation P2 Practice Access Program, Practice concepts were not available to Field members. Field members P2 Advisors, Branch manager, AFA, Para Planner and Assistant, were working alone. As part of P2 Practice Access Program, formal/Informal team concepts were included for Fields members. Field members, who are in practice, were able to see each other client and provide better solutions to their clients. This was a very high priority and critical project as there were different transaction capability rules for

Money Movement

Money Movement was another Project in which I worked during my stay with Ameriprise. OST Online Services and Transaction is a Web page application, which provided only view capability to advisors. Advisors were able to see only Account Details, Client Details and Group details. They were not able to do the transactions. As part of this project some of the transaction capabilities were added to OST such as . Move Money to Other accounts, Move Money to direct Deposit and Move Money to address of record. This Project was very critical and required extensive testing as this involves Move Movement.

QA Tester

Date calculation functionality for the subscriber, Dependent and spouse was implemented as the part of this project during the 12/15 Release. Prex Date calculation was based on the complicated rules defined by the Business in the Business Requirement. Prex date functionality was implemented for following Transactions New Application New Hire, Non New Hire, OE New hire. OE Non New Hire, Add Dependent, Reinstate Dependent, Reinstate Contract Rehire, Reinstate Contract Non-Rehire. This was implemented for all Midwest state Apart from that there were some defects and enhancements, which were scheduled for 12/31/2006, that too were validated as the part of this effort.
