Dexmedia has two standalone legacy CRM systems namely VAST print ad products and VISION internet ad products used for capturing business of advertising. For a consolidated business approach we need to take the integrated business and sell print, internet products simultaneously in order to gain more business, having consolidated customer data and better customer services. For that we are making a system that will make VAST and VISION interactive and capture business, customer data, sell product for both of them in an integrated way.This Project involves extracting data from existing source applications/Legacy systems and load into Salesforce.com Application and other BIS Data marts/warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Performing source system analysis and understanding existing Salesforce, ER model of Salesforce's Schema, BIS Data warehouse

Project:

The project was mainly divided into two phases. The first phase involved loading the data from ERP systems and other External systems into Operational Data Store ODS through Informatica and generating Oracle 9i/10g reports for middle management of McGraw-Hill Education. In the second phase data is loaded from ODS to EDW, the Enterprise Data Warehouse of McGraw-Hill from where reports will be generated for higher management of McGraw-Hill Education. Initially EDW has been rolled out for US and Canada market. Gradually it will be extended to other International markets.

• Data warehouse for customer faults of BT wholesale. It consists of 2 threads-1.R2-13-->The purpose of this business thread R2-13 is to improve the reporting functionality around the broadband service assurance process at BT. The BIP DW will capture, store and provide information that can be used to understand the efficiency and identify trends and bottlenecks in the different problem management processes of BT Wholesale. The event/problem that was considered in R2-13 is Customer Faults.
• The aim of the R2-29 thread is to create a test results subject area in the BIP data warehouse and link it with the existing network inventory data in UII and the customer faults data that has been developed as part of the R2-13 thread.
