Project Manager, June 2008 - 2010

Project Manager for unified desktop application implementations.

Jacada is a software products company based in Atlanta with worldwide operations and worldwide a client base. As a Project Manager I managed several projects to implement the company’s software platform and products to create customized unified call center desktop solutions.

As Project Manager I managed a team of contract developers and company resources to implement a custom desktop solution for an insurance company in Nashville, TN. In this project we on boarded a team of contract java developers, trained them in the company’s products and developed the solution. I was responsible for managing requirements and ensuring the implementation adhered to company implementation guidelines and quality standards.

As the Project Manager I guided the implementation of a call center payment application at an insurance company in Columbus, OH. I assisted in the requirements gathering, defining the solutions and ensuring client agreement of the solution content. I also provided management oversight of Jacada’s onsite client facing consulting team.

I replaced the Project Manager on a unified desktop implementation project for a Gas and Electric Utility in New York State. When I became project manager the project was out of control, it had no defined scope, the project team was not executing successfully and the development was being done offshore by an organization that was not able to produce the quality desired. I performed a gap analysis to define the scope, replaced the offshore development team with an Atlanta based development team, managed the remediation of the offshore code and successfully guided the project through the delivery of the first phase.
