• Manual grey-box / black-box testing and automation testing of web applications, web services, web-portal, client/server applications (Java, Web, PowerBuilder, Ruby/Rails), batch jobs/processes and external interfaces in Vehicle Emissions Testing and Fish/Game e-governance projects of various state governments. These are large projects involving multiple testers and skills.
• All applications were tested for Functional, Regression and Integration, while only some were tested for Load performance using Rational Robot VU scripting. Backend database was Oracle (v8 till v10g), and SQL/PLSQL was used to test data flows. Testing was standard for Data Privacy issues and application/data security. Single-Sign-On (SSO) testing was conducted only for portal applications. Some projects involved testing of SOA/Web Services using Actional SOAPScope and SOAP UI
• Testing documentation involved detailed test plans/strategies, test cases, automation scripts, and logging of test results in Rational Clearquest. Test cases were traced to requirements and business rules using the integrated Rational Requisite Pro.
