The Functional Architect is the functional expert for an application, a defined set of applications or a portfolio of related applications.

The Department of Finance & Administration (DFA) is responsible for enhancements and maintenance of the applications supporting the DFA Employee Benefits Department (EBD). The BA will work with the EBD to facilitate changes and modifications to the Premium Collections & Payment Modules.
- 4 years of relevant experience
- 4 year college degree
All roles specified in FA 1 and FA2 plus:
- Analyze, determine, and document functional requirements.
- Provide detailed definition on how the applications will support business requirements.
- Participate in design code and test reviews as appropriate.
- Provide inputs to test planning.
- Review tasks prior to migration into production as appropriate.
- Complete assigned tasks.
- Identify and track issues, risks and action items affecting own work and work of team.
- Communicate accurate and useful status updates.
- Anticipate and resolve issues specific to the team.
- Follow quality standards.
- Determine time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Identify and initiate continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ability to write basic SQL queries
- General knowledge of health insurance eligibility.
