Short Description:
The DelDOT Network Administrator is responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, ARC GIS data entry and analysis, GPS configuration, inventory management, and telecom procurement and deployments, including coordination of such tasks.
Complete Description:
Duties include:
- Creation and maintenance of Visio documentation for Fiber drawings, logicals, cut sheets, etc.
- Maintenance of GIS documentation for Vendor deliverables.
- Quality control of Vendor submissions of GPS data
- Creation and distribution of Google Earth layers KML and KMZ files
- P.O. tracking and Task request editing and creation
- Verizon interface for construction projects
- Work with construction for as-built telecom requests and field changes of new construction programs
- Limited field inspection and GPS data gathering as well as QC.
Basic Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of network equipment (switches/routers) and principals of telecommunication methods (Fiber, ethernet, wireless, etc).
- Prior experience in estimating and scheduling own work under minimal supervision.
- Proven track record of resolving all assigned issues in accordance with established service level agreements.
- Prior experience documenting configurations/processes/troubleshooting efforts.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced team environment.
Candidate will be required to travel in the support role throughout the state as required for ITMS site/field visits. Contract is renewable annually, not a short term project effort.
Position requires travel and will be non-reimbursable mileage. Contractor can use a fleet vehicle if necessary.
