Short Description: The QA Manager will define and implement BPR’s QA strategy, also will perform critical roles in overseeing the implementation of QA.  This role assumes the roles of project manager/administrator and business analyst for the duration of project.

Client would prefer candidates local to the Harrisburg, PA Area.

OVERALL EXPECTATIONS:

The QA Manager will define and implement BPR’s QA strategy, also will perform critical roles in overseeing the implementation of QA. This role assumes the roles of project manager/administrator and business analyst for the duration of project. The hiring manager will need some BA skills/duties to accompany the testing analysis.

Must have:
  • 8 or more years of experience as a QA Analyst or QA Manager in software product or custom software development shops.
  • A minimum of 8 years Project Management experience of which 5 years as the team leader.
  • 5 or more years of experience creating, reviewing, and executing testing plans and manual test scripts.
  • 5 or more years of experience integrating automated testing (unit, regression, and/or stress/performance) into the SDLC.
  • Exceptional project planning and management skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Required tasks:

In summary, the QA Manager will need some Business Analyst skills/duties to accompany the testing analysis. The QA Manager will be expected to accomplish the following:
  • Review GIS’s existing testing process identifying weaknesses and/or gaps in testing cause, scripts, and regression approach.
  • Define GIS’s overarching QA strategy to control quality and provide consistency in the products that are created and shared.
  • Outline GIS’s QA-related standards, to include standards for developer staff/firms, and entry/exit criteria for application, database, and infrastructure changes through application environments.
  • Provide the project plan and schedule for implementing the accepted recommended solution.
  • Test solution by completing an SDLC for a chosen GIS application/initiative including requirements, test case development, the execution of manual test scenarios, manual functional and regression test cases, and timely reporting of identified QA results / issues for resolution.
