- Troubleshoot/triage abends or job failures and work closely with AD/Prod support/Test teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
- Disabling servers on requirement basis
- Tier2/Tier3 fault management includes running jobs, restarting libraries
- Informing programmer for new job insertion
- Running script using Zeke
- Scheduling Jobs through Zeke
- Ticket creation and assignment using SDM
- Contention resolving using consoles
- Well-developed problem-solving ability and critical thinking skills. Strong desire to learn and develop additional skills and expertise over time.
- Experience with establishing and documenting process and procedures pertaining to role and responsibilities
- Ability to mentor team members
- Solid understanding of documentation and production support activities and creating documentation based on the requirements and getting sign off from client
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Perform system and batch monitoring on mainframe platform
- Execute job abend / job failure recovery per Runbooks
- Execute daily/ weekly/ monthly tasks per checklist
- Respond quickly and effectively to issues, requests, phone calls
- Execute batch throughput and system health to meet SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
- Analyze problems and select proper corrective action.
