Duration: 6 months with potential for extension
We have an immediate need for a QA Engineer to support our Front-End Architecture Project. Leadership, QA engineering skills, and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience are required. This is a 6-month contract to start, with the possibility of an extension based on performance and business need. A part-time onsite/part-time remote work arrangement will be considered.
A 60-minute online test will be administered as part of the screening process.
Must Haves:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including expert English-language skills.
- Solid experience defining and documenting strategies for Integration, System and Performance testing.
- Experience with WebDriverIO for JavaScript automation
- Ability to translate requirements and software design into robust test cases.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple simultaneous high priority efforts.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work with project managers to manage resources across projects understanding dependencies, competing priorities and deliverables.
- Ability to read and understand basic software code, stored procedures and SQL.
- Solid understanding of data transformation processes and ETL.
- Experience with troubleshooting issues - interpreting stack traces, verifying data in logs, manipulating data, thinking outside the box to recreate issues, etc.
- Testing experience with web-based applications.
- Experience with web service testing and SOAPUI.
- Ability to write and execute complicated SQL queries.
- MS Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Highly organized, process and detail oriented.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Programming experience.
- Testing experience with mainframe applications.
- Experience with Jmeter.
- Selenium experience.
