Responsibilities:
- Identify and report issues related to quality
- Convene cross-functional groups for the development of action plans to address quality issues
- Manage resolution of issues
- Work closely & effectively with other internal teams (i.e. ITS USQA, ITS Global, External vendors/partners, country/regional QA contacts etc.)
- Build vendor relationships
- Sustain effective relationships with off-shore vendors, perhaps including travel to India to work with the off-shore testing team face-to-face to build trust and strong working relationships
- Lead regular meetings to ensure the resources working remotely feel part of the program and are working well with the on-shore team members
- Manage QA testing for multiple projects/products concurrently
- QA Team Management
- Manage multiple teams of Audit Quality Assurance Professionals (includes consultants,
- onsite/offsite/offshore)
- Define goals for the team & conduct personal management of the team
- Recruit and develop qualified professionals
- Establish standards of measure for the performance of the team
- Coordinate the allocation of QA resources across multiple projects
- Project Management
- Provide senior management with regular updates of testing status
- Work closely with Business QA resources and all other pertinent project team resources
- Consult with project team to define and implement quality goals
- Provide clear deliverables to ensure the execution of best practices within all projects
- Manage defect tracking process, defect reporting, and dissemination of QA information
- Understand the business impact (technical/non-technical) to member firms/end-users and ensure testing addresses those impacts Manage ongoing processes to achieve high quality products, including but not limited to the following:
- User acceptance testing
- In-Country User Acceptance Testing
- Business User Acceptance Testing
- Functional, installer, and regression Testing
- Specify information required from users to determine application effectiveness
- Performance testing strategy
- Defect reporting and running Defect Review Meetings for issue resolution planning
- Thorough documentation (i.e. test scripts, test plans, test results) ensuring appropriate test coverage
- Manage the QA budget and ensure QA projects are operating efficiently
- Identify ways to perform testing at lower costs without sacrificing quality
- Manage testing tools used in the testing process
- Lead a strategy for high levels of test Automation
- Design and implement the use of HP Quality Center as the preferred testing tool for all projects
- Keep abreast of Software Test Tools industry to guide a strategy of tool utilization within the organization
- Preferred Experience
- Ten to fifteen years' experience in IS/IT. At least ten years or recent experience in quality assurance.
- Minimum two years' experience in Managing Global QA testing teams.
- Minimum two years' experience in automated testing tools (e.g. UFT, VSTS, Test Complete, WorkSoft Certify)
- Good understanding of a professional services organization
- Solid understanding of quality control best practices, automated testing software, and defect tracking software (i.e. HP ALM Quality Center).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience providing professional feedback and performance reviews for employees
- Experience providing Employee Performance Management Compensation
- Experience managing financial and budget planning
- Experience with Data Driven testing methodologies
- Technical Qualifications:
- Degree in computer sciences
- >5 Years of experience with hands on testing; minimum 10 years in QA
- Experience with Performance Center, Test Complete, VSTS
- HP Quality Center Expertise
- Generalist in Microsoft Technologies (IIS, MS SQL, SharePoint, Exchange)
- Generalist in Network and OS Level Concepts and Technologies (Active Directory, SSO, Certificates, WAN-Simulation)
- Programming: Scripting Language Skills like VB, SQL, Java Script, Powershell
- Leadership Skills:
- Vendor and Quality Governance and Oversight
- Solid team effectiveness, organization and planning skills
- Experience with leading a team (on-site > 5 and offshore > 15 people)
- Language Proficiency (English)
- Presentation Skills
- Quick Learner, Self-Driven, Flexible, Dedicated, can work under pressure
- Able to manage different projects in parallel
- Resource estimating and planning
- Dedication to the project
- On-Site presence 5 days a week, if required weekend or WFH
- Resource required to be on the project for > 6 months (should not move jobs frequently)
- Ability to travel to India if needed.
