Job Title: UX/UI Developer
Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 6+ months (project basis)
Overview:
As UX Developer you will join Markets Systems group which is responsible for a variety of client facing technology solutions. You will be responsible for delivery of high quality design and development for Foreign Exchange and Securities Lending platforms. You will be part of Boston based team of developers, BAs and testers, working collaboratively across global offices with product owners and stakeholders to envision the overall user experience and design of new products.
Responsibilities:
- Collaboration with business to continue development of design process and strategy to ensure alignment with business and technology needs
- Collaboration with business and senior Systems leadership to promote and socialize design process and value
- Create UX artifacts such as information architecture, interaction design specs, wireframes, and working interactive prototypes
- Create functioning HTML prototypes, wireframes using – HTML/CSS
Qualifications & Technical Skills:
- B.S. or equivalent in a related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in UX design and web design
- Extensive knowledge of HTML/CSS (3+ years)
- Experience with CSS preprocessors (preferably SASS)
- Experience with responsive design
- Experience with Bootstrap (2+ years)
- Minimum of 2 + years of working experience with AJAX
- Minimum of 2 + years of working experience of JS framework Angular 2 and 4, Bootstrap 2 or higher
- Knowledge of Balsamiq or comparable tools
- Must know how to build the Angular Application using CLI and Integrate with RESTful Webservices
- Must have strong working experience with HighChart charting Library
- Knowledge of SVN, Jekyll is a plus
- Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA is a plus
- Core understanding of typography, UX, and layout
- Strong, clean visual design sense
- Ability to manage competing projects demands
- Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving and issue-resolution skills
- Financial Services industry experience a plus.
