Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Risk and Data Privacy Consultant to join our Global Information Risk and Security Office in our Woodcliff Lake, NJ 

Responsibilities:
  • Lead ongoing efforts around implementation and maintenance of records of personal data processing activities, based on global regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of KPMGI's global information management and protection strategy and policies to comply with applicable laws and regulations and meet client expectations; including data privacy, confidentiality, examining cross border data flows and protecting intellectual capital
  • Collaborate and provide guidance and subject matter expertise on information protection matters to global business groups and KPMG member firms
  • Partner with internal business groups to maintain internal and external information protection requirements
  • Provide advice and recommendations regarding information protection controls to IT projects throughout the lifecycle, (e.g. privacy-by-design), including managing the risk assessment methodology and documentation
  • Develop implementation materials surrounding marketing, social media, cloud, mobile applications, and emerging technologies and privacy risks
  • Collaborate and provide guidance and subject matter expertise on privacy or data governance matters to global business groups and KPMG member firms
  • Four years of professional work experience in the field of Information Data Protection and Risk Management; Preferably for a Global Organization
  • Demonstrated knowledge related to information privacy issues with regards to evolving technology (e.g., mobile, cloud, global hosting, etc.)
  • Professional privacy or security qualifications such as CIPP and/or CISSP preferred
  • Knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements
  • Possess a valid passport and can travel globally on business assignments
  • Background working on large-scale international projects and the ability to manage multiple processes and projects at once.
