Detailed Job Description:

• 10 years of enterprise database administration experience, with 3+ years of database administration experience in supporting SQL Server in MS Azure
• Design, implement and maintain SQL Server database systems, working with database administrators, software developers, data architects and infrastructure engineers to create optimized and scalable solutions
• Expert - level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server from architecture to administration including design, development, and optimization of SQL Server databases
• Work with application team providing expertise in logical database design
• Perform specific database performance monitoring and tuning tasks including the design of optimization and indexing schemes, as well as partitioning for complex projects
• Responsible for influencing projects/initiatives and making decisions related to SQL Architecture and database administration best practices
• Assist in determining the effectiveness of existing technologies and processes in relation to the SQL Architecture, create necessary implementation/migration plans, and recommend new solutions as required
• Extensive understanding of SQL Server (2017, 2016, 20012, etc.)
• Proficient in designing/implementing/administering large and complex SQL Server environments
• Proven work experience and familiarity with best practices, technologies, concepts, and configurations relating to Backups/Restores, Disaster Recovery, High Availability (Always-On, Clustering),Monitoring and Alerting, Data Integration, and System Optimization
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills with demonstrated experience documenting and working through issues as part of a team
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, able to communicate clearly and effectively
• Strong customer service focus and ability to manage customer expectations
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
• SQL Server DBMS SQL Server (2017, 2016, 20012, etc.)
• Experience designing/implementing/administering large and complex SQL Server environments cloud and non-cloud based environments
• Experience with Windows /SQL HA technologies (Always On, clustering, mirroring, log shipping) MUST
