Detailed Job Description:

• As part of the Business Intelligence team, this person is responsible for installation, configuration and administration of the Tableau server and client applications.
• Duties will include establishing best practice methodologies for the administration of the Tableau platform.
• This position involves the design and development of the BI/Tableau data infrastructure, data source creation, security (user access), change control of Tableau objects and overall Tableau support.
• Development experience in the Tableau environment is required.
• Minimum 3 years of Tableau Server administration
• Minimum 5 years of Windows Server administration
• Experience with Citrix and Citrix virtual desktop environment
• Development experience in the Tableau environment
• Excellent understanding of Active Directory, DNS, Load Balancer and Network firewall
• Experience configuring Single Sign - on (SSO) with SAML authentication
• Proficient in Tableau command line utility
• Good understanding of database concepts including writing SQL statements
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Must be able to obtain necessary security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related fields or equivalent work experience required

Responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute*:

• Perform installation, migration and upgrade of Tableau Servers and Desktops under High Availability scenario
• Perform performance analysis of existing Tableau Servers and make Best Practice recommendations
• Perform day to day administration of Tableau Servers in Citrix environment:
• Manage sites and projects
• Configure and manage project permissions
• Provide periodic reports on Tableau Server usage
• Publish Tableau workbooks and data extracts
• Configure and maintain Active Directory integration with Tableau Server
• Configure and troubleshoot Single Sign On (SSO) issues for Tableau Server
• Provide 2nd tier support to user community on various Tableau Server and Desktop issues
• Create Tableau related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
