Position - SQL Developer (Note - this Developer position not DBA)

Description

SQL Developer who brings a deep expertise in SQL coding in a Data warehousing/Datamart environment to help our product team in enhancing the product. You will be responsible for implementing best practices in SQL Coding with emphasis on performance while dealing with large data set. You will use the best tools for the job to deliver elegant, scalable solutions that meet the business and technical requirement. We are also migrating to modern Big Data/Hadoop based technologies and work will involve coding in those technologies too.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and enhance SQL code.
• Recommend best practices for high performant SQL in a Datamart and Data Warehousing environment.
• Investigate production issues.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies required

• 5 years as a SQL developer (not DBA)
• Excellent SQL writing skills, especially in the Datamart and Analytics area.
• Ability to solve technical problems quickly.
• At least 1-year experience in any of the following Hadoop / Big Data based technologies:
  • HIVE
  • IMPALA
  • KUDU
  • AVERO
  • PARQUET
  • ORC.
