Provide technical support for E-Gov Transition Project. Analyze large repository of source code and separate out code into 200+ web applications, websites and services. Compile code and prepare deployable packages to be distributed to state agencies.

Job Description:There are approximately 125 websites and approximately 139 applications to transition from the current environment to other hosting environments and Operations and Maintenance (0&M) vendors.
VITA will be packaging the Virginia Interactive code for all applications and websites and deploying the code to all public body customers starting September 2012. To meet this code deployment schedule ESG is requesting a developer to compile the code received from the Virginia Interactive Escrow account; package the code for deployment to customers, and to address and resolve problems and/or issues the customers have with the compiled code.
Should be able to work through a large repository of pre-existing code and go through a discovery phase to identify and separate out code belonging to 200+ web based business applications. Proficient knowledge of web development, testing, packaging code into deployable applications. Experience with web services. Expertise in promoting deployable application packages and validating business applications on Test and Production environments. Development experience with Relational Databases and SQL. Experience with Web server and Application server administration.
Experience with development of web based payment processing applications and payment gateways. Awareness and understanding of PCI compliance.
Extensive experience with web application hosting, the hardware/software environments required to support web applications.
Demonstrated skills in problem identification, root cause analysis and resolution. Does application analysis using existing code to write high level application documentation describing application flow. Writes manual for users to describe installation and operating procedures. May use computer-aided software tools in each stage of system development. May oversee installation of hardware and software. May install and test program at user site. May specialize in developing programs for business or technical applications.
Ability to work with technical and non-technical teams often conveying complex technical information.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Experience in working on multiple projects with an extensive variety of stakeholders and multiple vendors.
Degree in information technology or related field desirable; other education and/or progressive experience may substitute. Microsoft or other relevant certifications are preferable.
