Detailed Job Description:

• The systems analyst will use the cost - to-serve design documentation to create a set of Power BI visualizations to meet the needs of the stakeholders.
• Most of the visualizations have already been built as part of the proof-of-concept but many of the Power BI features and functionality were omitted.
• The systems analyst will need to fully prepare all the PBIX reports, publish them to a Microsoft Team Site, connect it to either a Microsoft SQL Server database on Azure or a Virtual Microsoft database (hive tables) on Azure.
• Any automations such as data refreshing and the ability to convert data from columns to rows will also need to be included.
• Lastly, a variety of calculations using DAX will need to be developed.

Skills

• MSBI stack experience, Power BI is a must
• Experience connecting Power BI to SQL Server or hive tables on Azure
• DAX Scripting (this is the scripting language used for creating formulas in Power BI)
• Experience creating user-experience (UX) dashboards
• Experience using Power BI blank buttons and bookmarks to enable workflow and decision making within the visualization
• Experience working with dimensional data
• Complete understanding of how relational databases and different join types work.
• Preferred
• Sharepoint O365 Experience, particularly with embedding Power BI reports and dashboads
• Familiar with the monthly Power BI upgrades and how to use them - multi data models would be a good one.
• R-scripting and Python experience. It is possible that the systems analyst will need to utilize R or Python to create some of the data needed for visualizations. For example, clustering.
