NEED: SR. LINUX ADMINISTRATOR (L2/L3 SUPPORT) 

Requirements/Preferences:

Education Minimum Requirement  Associates Degree  Education Preferred if different from above Bachelor’s Degree

Skills & Competency Requirements:
  • 8+ Years in IT Administration and tech support. Responsibilities include onboarding client with installation and upgrades, knowledge on privacy laws and cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge on IT Infrastructure, Servers, Virtual Machine and Cloud deployment.
  • Hands on Linux experience (BASH scripting). 
  • Knowledge on RHEL and CentOS.
  • SQL Basic.
  • Troubleshooting log files. Should able to read and interpret log files.
  • Should be able to interface with customers and have adequate phone skills.    
  • Networking Knowledge and troubleshooting.
Preferences:
  • Knowledge on MongoDB, CouchDB (NoSQL).
  • Knowledge on Hospital Interface like HL7 and DICOM.
  • Medical Device domain knowledge.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Overall:
  • Record accurate and detailed information in all necessary applications in a timely manner
  • Submit customer complaints in a timely manner
  • Provide in depth professional technical support to internal and external customer for Bayer products
  • Strive for process improvements and first time fix rates
  • Drive for customer success
Upgrades:
  • Perform/Troubleshoot remote software upgrades
  • Perform/Assist with remote OS upgrades and server migrations
  • Verify/Update server configuration in Service Max 
  • Perform pre and post upgrades checks

Routine Maintenance:
  • Validate software is operating without errors
  • Validate OS is operating without errors
  • Confirm adequate server resources are available to operate without errors (i.e. CPU, RAM, Disk Space) 
  • Confirm/Install SiteMonitor2.2 
Preventative Maintenance:
  • Confirm/Apply DICOM and HL7 preventative maintenance procedures
Customer Support:
  • Provide Level 1&2 technical support
Implementation:
  • Build customer OVF files and help import as needed
  • Configure customer settings to meet the customers’ requirements
  • Test/Validate new customer interface
Process Improvement:
  • Create and test scripts to automate commonly performed tasks (i.e. Troubleshoot, Upgrades, Implementation configuration, pre and post checks).
