Our client is a Fortune 500 communications service provider that has grown
exponentially over the past two years. They have had to revamp every major
application and system in order to sustain their growth. As part of their
growth plan, the Client is expanding its use of Sterling Commerce to enhance
the commercial platform to do end-to-end processing. The Client's Sterling CRM
is a web-based order entry system built on a highly customized,
Model-View-Controller framework operating in an Open Source Apache Tomcat J2EE
container executing on a standard Linux platform. They have a project to
configure the GUI to capture the order from the back end, then submit the
order, confirm the order and complete the order. This position will have responsibility
to apply formal data modeling techniques to create a data model for the
Sterling Order Management application that will be used to support business and
complex order processing in Sterling v9.1.
As the Data Modeler, you'll be expected to work closely with the various
business units to define and analyze data requirements across the network to
provide a structure for the data used in the Client's order capture process.
This position requires strong SQL or scripting skills to pull data then compare
and contrast to determine the proper data sets.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
5-years of data modeling from any industry, however, any CRM or Order
Management is a strong plus.
Telecommunications industry experience would be very helpful but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must be very analytical and will be required to take a test that will
demonstrate analytical abilities.
SQL and other Scripting languages (UNIX, Bourne, Korn)
