Must have:

1. Experience in any of these scripting language - PowerShell, VBScript, T-SQL 

Skills required:

• Responsible for physical database architecture and design, development, performance tuning, implementation, and support of the applications from a database perspective.
• Define and implement database, SQL standards ,best practices and avoid potential performance issues.
• Conduct Code Reviews to ensure coding standards, Handle database object deployment through multiple product lifecycle environments, from Development to Production support.
• Work closely with application developers to test, configure, and optimize servers based on application demands; work with large volume, heavy load databases.
• Experience required in backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, indexing .
• Ensure backup policies to meets the business Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and business Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)
• Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring, query optimization, troubleshooting tools, dealing with MSSQL Dynamic management views and functions for performance analysis
• Ability to handle High Availability (HA- Log shipping, DB mirroring, DB Replication, Clustering, Always-ON) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server
• Experience conducting database migrations between different platforms
• Experience upgrading databases from lower versions to latest versions of the database
• Experience required in reporting, forecasting, capacity planning, and implementing database solutions across multiple platforms
• Proactively identify & develop plans to mitigate risks and performance issues within the database infrastructure
• Enforces patch management policies and standards in production (DDL, and stored procedure changes)
• Responsible for planning and organizing database, Database creation, create & manage users, password security, privileges & roles, script running etc. 
• Experience with troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, and security issues.
• Knowledge of indexes, index management, statistics, integrity checks, configuration.
• Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, and best practices for schemas and ETIs
• Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server CPU, memory, I/O, disk space, and other resource contentions.
• SQL Development – ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code and design ( stored procs, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints )
• Solid acquaintance with windows server, security delegation, SPNs, storage components.
• Knowledge in a scripting language like PowerShell, VBScript, T-SQL 
• Excellent communication & coordination skills, Flexible to work in shifts
