Responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute*:

  • Work with globally distributed Release Management & Product teams to deliver artifacts to production for the systems (Store POS, online, Distribution centers, planning systems Infrastructure Network and Datacenters etc.)
  • Manage a distributed team of delivery engineers during change windows to ensure that the systems are available as scheduled at the end of the change window
  • Perform triage and resolution of delivery issues, work closely with operations and engineering teams to resolve delivery errors, including Root Cause Analysis
  • Identify and implement delivery process improvements using continuous improvement
  • Work with the platform engineering team to improve the reliability and performance of test and build processes
  • Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
  • Execute Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
  • Weekly Release Reporting & Metrics
  • Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required
  • Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
  • Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges
  • Maintains the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors
  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
  • Lead and co - ordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ YEARS EXPERIENCE IN AGILE SOFTWARE DELIVERY
  • 2-6 YEARS OF PREVIOUS RELEASE AND/OR PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE, (SOLID UNDERSTANDING OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES PREFERRED)
  • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and lead a delivery team in a high stakes/high pressure environment
  • Demonstrated ability to influence a large organization and work as part of a distributed team
  • Demonstrated ability to be successful in a metrics driven continuous improvement work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
